To celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Brown & Tawse Bruichladdich selected a special bottling of their 12 year old Islay Single Malt Whisky.

Only 758 bottles have been produced from two Bourbon casks in this unique bottling

A limited edition 18 year old Bruichladdich from 1984 to celebrate the re-printing of the 1718 book, ‘The Practical Distiller’ – one of the earliest books written on spirit distillation.

The time in which the book was first published was known as the “Enlightenment Period” and is apt today with the recent re-opening of the classic Ilsay Malt Distillery – Bruichladdich in 2001.

Comments The 18 Year Old 2nd Edition continues the sweet wine cask influence of the 1st Edition’s pioneering Bourbon/Willi Opitz bottling. Here we have again fused American oak with the more flavoursome French oak – but this time the casks contained the rare, sweet wine from Jurancon in the Pyrennean foothills, of south-west France. Tasting notes: Fulsome, rich and exeedingly elegant with a smooth clover honey texture. Sensuous fragrances of butterscotch and mint, maple syrup and oak, candied almonds. Sweet dark vanilla, poached pear and cinnamon- lots of fantastic combinations.
